Here are some natural, everyday ways to keep your acne in check:
Baking Soda Solution. Mix equal parts baking soda and water to create a paste and apply to acne areas using a Q-Tip. Wait for it to dry, then wash it off with cold water.
Tea Tree Oil. Tea tree oil is basically a natural form of benzoyl peroxide, with less nasty side effects.
Eat Smart. Take probiotics or eat fermented foods like natural yogurt.
Be Product Smart. Be sure to use oil-free makeup and avoid facial products with lots of chemicals—try natural products instead.
Apply a Honey Mask. Apply raw honey every few days to your face—it has antibacterial properties, who knew!?
Keep Hair Away. Hair in your face can increase acne because hair is oily. If you have bad acne, it’s probably best not to have bangs, or to keep them out of your face.
Wash Your Pillow Case. Your pillow case absorbs the dirt and oil from your face, so wash it frequently so you’re not laying on that yucky stuff every night.
