HOME REMEDIES FOR MILIA
Honey retains moisture and avoids dryness with its antioxidant and humectants properties. You can simply apply raw honey on your face. For obtaining the best results, use it on a daily basis. It will certainly do wonders when combined with some other ingredients. You can mix one tablespoon of jojoba oil with two tablespoons of honey. Spread it on your face and keep it on for 15 to 20 minutes. Repeat this three to four times a week.
2. Oatmeal Scrub
Oatmeal scrub unclogs the blocked pores. Take one tbsp of granulated sugar and raw honey and 3 tbsp of oatmeal. Mix all the ingredients and gently scrub your skin for a few minutes. Then, rinse it off.
3. Sugar-Lemon Juice Scrub
This easy homemade scrub requires 2 tbsp of sugar, half lemon juice and 1 tsp olive oil. Mix all the three ingredients and gently scrub your face with this mixture. Leave it for 20 minutes and wash off. It is a highly beneficial remedy that exfoliates the skin and helps you get rid of milia.
4. Castor Oil
Since castor oil is antibacterial in nature, it can heal several skin problems. It also helps control production of excess oil. Apply ½ teaspoon of castor oil and gently massage in a circular motion. Leave it until it gets absorbed into the skin.
- You can also use a mixture of castor oil and olive oil in an equal proportion.
- Alternatively, you can make a paste of castor oil and baking soda. Apply it on the affected area. Wash it off after 30 minutes.
5. Pomegranate Peel Powder
Pomegranate is a rich source of vitamin C, which helps exfoliate the skin and soothes acne and milia. Pomegranate peel powder is one of the most liked home remedies for curing milia. For using this remedy, you need to roast the peels of pomegranate, until they become dark brown. Then grind them into a powder. Take 2 tbsp of this powder and add lemon juice or rose water to form a paste. Rub it on your face and leave it for 20 minutes. Use this remedy thrice a week.
